Rachael Matthews is a textile artist, writer, teacher and mother, from Cumbria in the North of England, mostly working in East London.

Outside of the studio she is Associate Lecturer in Contextual studies at Goldsmiths University and Textile Design at Central St M                                                                                                                                artins, and runs short courses in Knitting at V&A Academy.
